Just as there is always the option. You do get atleast one chance at it, whatever you choose you will get to the end where a guy stops you and just puts up a red sign in your face. A sign saying “No dogs allowed”, “Stop” or “U-turn”. It doesn’t matter whatever it said, however you ended up at that roadsign is a result of your choice.
Just thinking back on all the choices that have been made over the years. How many of them have turned into something good. Now I’m not talking about momentarily good. Something that has lasted and something that will last. You get momentary satistaction from eating a cookie, by the end of the day was it a good choice? Was it something that you will remember?
That choice about starting to talk to that girl, starting to go out with her, the choice to end up in bed with her and staying with her. Just to after a few months break up in a savage argument or finding yourself in the bed in another girls appartment. Was it a good decision?
Choosing what to study, what to learn and develop into your proffession and excellence. All those countless of hours spent in reading or training your choosen road. Did you really end up happy with it? Will you be happy with it for the rest of your life? It isn’t easy to turn around and start all over again.
How about the first time you smoked, or the first time you tried that drug a friend was talking about. It felt good didn’t it? Finally being accepted into the group or finally getting some releif from all the stress out there. Was that a good choice? Dying at 50 because of cancer surely isn’t a good choice, neither is loosing your home and family over a drug addiction.
Humans. Men and women. We are stupid. We choose, all the time. We read the sign time after time. We go on choosing, we go on with this. This being our failed attempt at a life. This may sound very morbid but, what is this all for? What do I gain at the end? Is it some sort of score? How many signs you’ve read by the end determines how good life you had? Maybe it’s just our freedom of choice that is making it so hard.
You get the choice to cheat on your girlfriend, to start doing drugs and finally die in an overdose. Maybe you just choose to take a chance, with a girl, with a job or with a new subscription to another magazine. In the end, you find out that it didn’t work out, that you can’t read all the things that you wanted. Then you just turn around and start again.

That is why you think before you make choices. If you say yes you have to handle everything that comes with the yes.
But dont think for to long cause good things dont wait for long.
